Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Horseshoe Bay and the surrounding Highland Lakes area are an ideal place to make your permanent home or that special weekend getaway.  

Incorporated in 2005, the City of Horseshoe Bay is located 5 miles west of Marble Falls along the shores of beautiful Lake LBJ.  It is a short one-hour drive from Austin; two hours from San Antonio; four hours from Dallas and five hours from Lubbock. 

Lake LBJ is one of the most popular lakes in Texas.  It is fed by both the Colorado and Llano rivers and stretches west through the scenic Texas Hill Country for approximately 23 miles.  Lake LBJ provides residents and visitors an abundance of year-round water activities including boating, water skiing, and fishing. 

For the golf enthusiast there are seven courses in the immediate area, including three Robert Trent Jones courses and one Jack Nicklauss right in the heart of Horseshoe Bay.  There is also an elite Tom Fazio course located in the gated Escondido subdivision for those looking for that ultimate golfing destination.
