Kingsland is a small town located at the spot where the Llano and Colorado rivers meet. With its gently rolling hills, scenic valleys, slabs of granite and majestic mesquite and oak trees, Kingsland really is fit for a king. LBJ Lake and the Kingsland Community Park on the shore of the lake are the town's most popular amenities. Residents picnic, play horseshoes, use the boat launch and attend public or private events in the 100-seat building. The Pat Patterson Lions Club Park in Kingsland is much smaller than the community park, however, it is the ideal place to swim in the lake. Lakefront properties with scenic views command a higher-than-average price.
The Packsaddle Elementary School, run by the Llano Independent School District, serves Kingsland's children in prekindergarten through grade five. Junior high and high school age Kingsland residents attend Llano Jr. High and Llano High School in Llano, which are also run by the Llano ISD. Llano ISD meets all of the Texas Education Agency's academic performance requirements.
